Dr. Criscuolo is a neurologist employed by the Federico II University (University Hospital) and by the ASLNA1 (outpatient neurology clinic). She has received her MD and PhD in Neurosciences at the Federico II University in Naples, Italy. She is board certified in Neurology (2003-Present). She served as a postdoctoral fellow at the at Telethon Institute of Genetics (TIGEM; Naples, Italy; 200-2006) and at the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS; Department of Clinical Genetics, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, The Netherland; 2009-10) with a fellowship awarded by the European Federation of Neurological Societies. In 2016 she attained the national scientific academic qualification as Associate Professor in Medical Genetics and in Scienze delle professioni sanitarie e delle tecnologie mediche, which qualifies her for academic positions within the Italian Universities. Dr. Criscuolo research interests include clinical and molecular aspects of neurodegenerative disorders (dementia, parkinsonism, choreas, cerebellar ataxias and familial as a postdoctoral fellow spastic paraplegias), genetic screening and molecular analysis. She authored more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in international publications, and presented her work at national and international conferences.
